Endowed Lecture Series
I.H. Cohn, MD Fund
Established in 2004 by Thomas and Sally Cohn to honor Mr. Cohn’s father, Isadore H. Cohn, MD. Dr. Cohn was one of the innovators of adolescent and group psychotherapy in New York. The fund will support an annual lecture for the general public, presented by a member of the Institute faculty on a timely topic in the field of psychoanalytic study and treatment.
Paul A. Dewald, MD Fund
Established by Dr. Dewald’s family to honor his long-standing interest in education and his contributions to the Institute. Friends and colleagues have contributed significantly to the fund. The money is earmarked to support special educational events or projects related to the application of psychoanalytic concepts to issues of interest to lay and professional groups. In 1995, the Board designated this fund to support the first Paul A. Dewald, MD Community Lecture.
Hyman H. Fingert, MD Memorial Fund
Established in 2000 by Judith F. Chused, M.D. and Patricia Fingert to honor Hyman H. Fingert, M.D., one of the founding members of the Institute. Donations are earmarked for an annual presentation to the analytic community on the technique and process of psychoanalytic treatment and the relationship between patient and analyst.
