Ruth Altman, MA, LCSW, specializes in helping adults, adolescents and couples understand internal and interpersonal factors. She focuses on this understanding in order to facilitate healing and conflict resolution, and to foster meaningful lifestyle changes.
She is in full-time private practice and has practiced psychotherapy for more than 30 years.
Ruth has received extensive post-graduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute and in family therapy at Provident Counseling.
She is past president of the APP Alumni Association, an organization dedicated to providing continuing education for professionals. She also teaches at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute and in other professional settings in the community.
