Congratulations to STLPI’s 2021 Graduates
As Dean, I offer my congratulations to all of our students– APP graduates and Practicum graduates. We applaud your commitment to psychoanalytically informed education and practice and are pleased to welcome you to our community of graduate therapists. We hope you will consider our Institute your professional home, and look forward to working with you, and seeing you at programs, in the future. Sincerely, Mary Nielsen, Dean
Everyone here at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute community joins me in well wishes upon your graduation. You have each had opportunities to partake of all that was offered here at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute to make your own. As you now once again begin anew, we welcome you, as alumni, colleagues, and professionals.
-Tina Marie Dale, LCSW APP Director
Sadly, we cannot gather as an Institute family this year to celebrate the completion of the Schiele Clinic Practicum. It is an accomplishment that deserves recognition and we hope the time will come soon that we can meet in person, at a formal graduation, to share our thoughts and feelings about this accomplishment with you, your family, and your friends. We look forward to future opportunities to take pride in your growth and accomplishment and hope that you will look to the Psychoanalytic Institute for support, learning opportunities, and collegiality. – Stuart Ozar, PhD., Clinic Director

Katherine Lozano holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden’s University. She Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. Katherine has worked with children with physical disabilities, children who have experienced bereavement, teens and adults with substance abuse issues, and victims of violence that would need to testify in court. Katherine speaks Spanish fluently which has allowed her to currently focus primarily on immigrants, so language is not a barrier anymore for an individual to communicate and ask for help if needed. Katherine is currently working on acquiring her hours to obtain her license in counseling. Katherine loves to travel, spending time with her family, going to the beach and watching movies on rainy days.

My name is Michelle Woods, LPC, NCC. I am a Clinical Psychology PhD student with Fielding Graduate University. I have my LPC and NCC licenses in Missouri and am furthering my education to, hopefully one day, become a Clinical Psychologist. My clinical interests include forensic and neuropsychology, but I have also loved working with children during my practicum placement with The Schiele Clinic. So, I might try to integrate those interests. I am currently unemployed and after graduation plan to open my own private practice. Thank you for this practicum opportunity!
