ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP
The Schiele Clinic at St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute is provisionally licensed by the state of Missouri and provides high-quality, in-depth psychotherapy at a fee based on a client’s ability to pay. The Clinic’s Post-Graduate Fellowship is a 12-month commitment of at least 20 hours per week in out-patient psychotherapy that focuses on meeting the therapeutic needs of children in a school setting and on reducing barriers to care.
Fellows will:
- Conduct initial evaluations of new patients
- Begin with a few patients and build to at least 10 hours per week of scheduled sessions
- Participate in one hour of individual supervision per week with some of the area’s top therapists
- Participate in weekly school-based CARE Team meetings
- Participate in weekly one-hour clinical case conferences on Tuesdays at noon with occasional meetings following at 1pm – subjects include diagnosis, evaluation, ongoing therapeutic issues, and administrative issues
- Participate in one hour of group supervision at least monthly
Additional benefits include:
- Annual $10,000 stipend, paid quarterly

- Clinic voice mail and electronic medical records
- Access to the Institute Library
- Access to Institute Community Education courses with annual voucher
Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least provisionally licensed clinicians who have completed graduate or post-graduate clinical programs with degrees in social work, psychology, or counseling. Applicants must have previous work experience with children and be available to be present on site within typical school hours at least twice per week.
Timeline:
Fellowship dates are June 2020 – May 2021
