Elsah Epstein
Elsah Epstein is a clinical mental health counselor in training at the Schiele Clinic of the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute and a graduate student in Northwestern University’s CACREP-accredited Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. A certified personal trainer (CPT) with a BS in Biology, she applies her scientific training and experience in movement therapy and mind-body wellness to offer an integrative, informed approach to mental health care.
Her clinical interests include health-oriented psychotherapy, relational healing, and the role of neuroplasticity in long-term well-being. Drawing from her own experiences navigating health challenges and life transitions, Elsah is particularly dedicated to supporting individuals through periods of change and healing with empathy, structure, and curiosity.
Certified as a Well-Being Coach through the Anthropedia Foundation, and extensively trained in Pilates, somatic awareness, and movement therapy, she works from the premise that greater body awareness and emotional insight enhance an individual’s capacity for resilience and self-regulation. Her psychodynamic orientation is informed by a strong respect for how early attachment and unconscious processes shape the landscape of life.
Elsah is a firm believer in emotional awareness as a foundation for understanding one’s values—and by extension, uncovering meaning, direction, and sources of deep satisfaction. She sees therapy as a collaborative process in which each individual holds the answers within themselves, and the clinician’s role is to serve as an attuned companion in the ongoing work of listening, self-understanding, and growth.
